I think it is safe to say Ava hated being in the studio today or more so she was NOT going to be ristricted when there was so much running and exploring to do, even after a quick cat nap there was no holding her back. Needless to say we didn’t get many shots of her and will be doing a location session with her in a few weeks!, And when you look at the last picture you will see really just how unhappy she was to be sitting there LOL Jack on the other hand totally hammed it up such a sweet kid and lets just say he thinks I am totally hilarious as you will see . Cake Smash sessions make me wonder who actually has more fun, Baby eating all that cake or us watching because it usually ends up with the parents and I laughing and laughing at the reactions! 1 year old Tyler sure didn’t dissapoint today, when he first touched that cake we thought maybe he was going to hate it but when he put that first bit of icing in his mouth the fun really started and as you can see he gave that cake a good run for it’s money! Such an adorable little boy, loved the way he would crawl on his knees instead of walking and he was very determined to get my camera! You would never have thought that by looking at these images of sweet Lucious that he only slept about 45 minutes the whole 5 hours he was in the studio today! Yep he was VERY determined to stay awake and party but little did he know I am one VERY determined person and I could have outlasted him no matter how hard he tried to stay awake, we should have known he was going to be a very strong willed little boy as he was 7 days over due he was going to come in his own sweet time! Despite it taking so long to get these images it was well worth every single one, he was such a gorgeous boy and was just taking everything in the whole time he was awake, and it just meant I got loads more cuddles . Meet 10 day old Lucious

5 day old Ethan was such a delight to have in the studio today, even if in the first 15 mins he had peed all over me LOL ! Sometimes it is hard to convince parents to come those few days earlier, but there can be such a big difference between a 5-7 day old bub compared to a 10-12 day old bub, the younger babies sleep so much more soundly and are super curly and easier to position. Ethan was no exception such a placid boy only let out one cry the whole session. Big sister Maddy { 3 } was gorgeous and very well behaved. I knew right from the get go that Erica and I would get along well, when she told me what she had envisioned for her maternity session I knew there were going to be some gorgeous shots. Erica and Jonathan are such a gorgeous gorgeous couple, you can feel the love and excitment they have for this new little baby about to enter the world it is simply beautiful. Erica was a total natural in front of the camera and needed almost no direction at all, she has a perfectly round belly and she is just one stunning mumma! I am lucky enough to get to photograph Oliver every 3 months until his first birthday. It always amazes me just how much they have grown and developed in such a short amount of time. Oli’s face is still almost the same as it was the last time I photographed him but his personality is starting to come out and he is such a cheeky little thing! He was very reserved with his smiles today but the few I caught are big eyes wide open smiles which are so cute! { Cake, cake and more cake! } | Perth Baby Photographer

It took almot 8 hours, 12 packets of cake mix, 12 eggs and 2 litres of milk to make 4 giant cupcakes yesterday … and all of about 5 minutes for 3 of them to be smashed! I have been looking forward to this cake smash since I first photographed the triplets when they were just 4 weeks old, I knew it would be alot of fun and oh gosh I don’t think i’ve laughed so hard in ages! It has been so awsome to watch these girls grow from the teeny babies they were, to now see them crawling around each with a different personality. Isla ” The Rock” so much bigger than her sisters and such a placid lil thing so easy going and she will just take what she wants and act as if it was hers all along haha, Sophie is little miss attitude she has a short temper and was not at all impressed with the cake and all that mess at first she didn’t want to touch it she wanted it fed to her lol and Abbey ahh Abbey well I don’t think she could get any more happier! She LOVED that cake and there was almost no spot in her body that there wasn’t some, she even tried to suck the sweet stuff out of her singlet at least this girl appreciates good food ! Cake was everywhere but the faces on these girls was priceless and well worth it. And Im proud to say that after a year of photographing these girls I can now tell Sophie and Abbey apart LOL

Big brother Jacob turns 3 around the same time as the girls so we just had to make him a cake too, he was a little under the weather today so didn’t enjoy it as much as he normally would have but he did have some fun putting m&m’s all over his cake then picking them off one by one. He is such a gorgeous little boy so well spoken and NUTS for thomas!

Amy ( & Lyn ) once again it was a pleasure to photograph your gorgeous kids, It has been amazing to watch them grow over the past year and I have enjoyed every session xx

I first met Miss Ruby almost 3 weeks ago when I photographed her in her mumma’s belly. Just a week after that session Ruby made her big entrance to the world, all almost 9lb of her. She has the most Gorgeous chubby cheeks and her hair oh my I am so jelous of that hair. Ruby was absolutely perfect for her session today, I don’t think we heard one peep out of her the whole time she was here and at just under 2 hours she has taken over first place for my quickest newborn yet! Some days we all just feel a little off and on saturday 8 month old Tilly was not her usual self, we got a few smiles out of her but it didn’t take long for her to be over it all. Today they came back to get a few more pictures and she must have been feeling alot better after her nap as she was full of smiles! Tilly is such a gorgeous girl her eyes are amazing and they would have to be the bluest I have had in a while! Big sister Mackenzie was so cute, she was very well behaved and could have posed for me all day! I must admit a few months ago I loathed shooting location, I really hated to be out of my comfort zone of my studio where I could control almost everything. Now I actually enjoy getting out and exploring new ways to make that ‘perfect’ picture. Today’s family are friends of ours so I knew they would be alot of fun and up for anything, Tegan is co author of Additive Free Kids Parties and is slowly but surely taking over the world and educating people about additive free eating. Amelia and Imani are such great kids and were so good today. Amelia was very straight to the point and wanted to do her thing so she could run off and play where as Imani could have hammed it up for me all day long lol !
